The cause of a fire at a vacant home in Winnipeg’s William Whyte neighbourhood is under investigation. Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service crews were called to the 400 block of Aberdeen Avenue shortly after midnight Saturday. Firefighters attacked the blaze from inside the home and declared it under control about an hour later. No injuries were reported. The city is asking residents to call police if they see anyone entering a vacant building or removing boards from the building’s windows or doors.
