A body recovered from the Red River on Tuesday near the University of Manitoba has been identified. On Friday, the Winnipeg Police Service said the deceased was an adult woman. Her name was not released. Her body was pulled from the river east of University Crescent and Markham Road. Her family has been notified, police said. Her death is not considered criminal in nature.
