Trailer fire leaves 2 dead, police investigating in Surrey, B.C.

Despite the frantic attempts of neighbours to douse the flames, two people died in a fire that engulfed a parked RV.

Two people are dead after a travel trailer erupted in flames Sunday evening in Surrey, B.C.

Police were called to the 12200 block of 102 Avenue, where firefighters were already battling the blaze in the driveway of a home, at around 9 p.m.

“Regrettably, two persons were found deceased inside the recreational vehicle,” the Surrey Police Service said in a statement Monday.

Police and firefighters are still investigating the cause of the fire.

A neighbouring home was evacuated due to the flames, but police say the occupants later returned unharmed.
