A new anti-homophobia campaign is being spearheaded by university students who are trying to teach a younger generation to be more open-minded than they were as kids.

The "Get REAL" campaign, started by Western University student Chris Studer, includes a video in which he and his peers address their Grade-7 selves, and take some of them to task for their bullying schoolyard behaviour:

Studer attended an all-boys' school, and remembers using homophobic slurs against any classmate he considered "girlie."

"I was very immature, very insecure," he told CTV News.
