JOHANNESBURG, South Africa -- The World Anti-Doping Agency has discovered problems with the drug-testing laboratory in Russia, less than three months before the Sochi Winter Olympics.

WADA President John Fahey says the agency is investigating "a matter" with the Moscow lab but declined to give details.

IOC medical commission chairman Arne Ljungqvist says the Olympic body has been made aware of WADA's investigation and expects to hear the findings in the next day or few days.

The problem involves the WADA-accredited Moscow laboratory, which handled drug tests for the world track and field championships in August and was due to transfer facilities to Sochi to handle the tests for the Feb. 7-23 Winter Games.
