RIGA, Latvia -- Canada's Rachel Homan will play the United States in the Page playoff 3-4 game at the world women's curling championship.

American skip Erika Brown defeated Switzerland's Silvana Tirinzoni 7-4 in the second tiebreaker of the day at the Volvo Sports Center. Earlier, Tirinzoni beat Russia's Anna Sidorova 7-6 in an extra end.

The American rink claims the fourth seed and will take on Canada on Saturday afternoon.

Canada has the day off after wrapping up the third seed a day earlier with an 8-3 round-robin record.

Scotland's Eve Muirhead and Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson will play the Page playoff 1-2 game in the evening.

The semifinal will be played Saturday night and the medal games are set for Sunday.
