LAWRENCE, Kan. -- Canada's Andrew Wiggins will leave the University of Kansas after one season to enter the NBA draft.

Wiggins made the official announcement today at Allen Fieldhouse.

The Big 12 freshman of the year is expected to be one of the top picks in this June's NBA draft.

Wiggins, from Vaughan, Ont., had an average of 17.1 points and 5.9 rebounds per game this season.

He was a first-team all-conference selection.

Wiggins struggled in his final game with the Jayhawks, scoring only four points in a loss to Stanford in the third round of the NCAA tournament.
