TORONTO - Canada has fallen one spot to No. 9 in the FIFA world women's soccer rankings.

North Korea vaulted past the Canadian women in the latest list, jumping four places to No. 7.

Germany moved into top spot, relegating the U.S. to second spot. France rose one place to third, dropping defending World Cup champion Japan to fourth. Sweden was unchanged at No. 5.

The rest of the top 10 was England (up one), North Korea (up four), Brazil (down two), Canada (down one) and Australia (unchanged).

China, the Netherlands and New Zealand -- Canada's rivals in Group A at the 2015 World Cup next summer -- all moved up the ladder.

The Dutch climbed four places to No. 11 while China and New Zealand each moved up one spot to No. 13 and No. 18 respectively.
