One lucky sports fan and their guest will get to spend a night at the Air Canada Centre with Maple Leafs legend Doug Gilmour as part of a contest put on by the hockey team and online accommodation rental service Airbnb.

“The Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors have some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the NHL and NBA,” said Aaron Zifkin, manager of Airbnb’s Canadian operations. “Airbnb is pleased to offer the first ever overnight experience at Air Canada Centre in a customized suite while also providing an unprecedented behind-the-scenes experience.”

On the night of Jan. 23, the winner and a guest of their choice will get platinum tickets to see the Maple Leafs take on the Montreal Canadiens and an exclusive pre-game experience including a behind-the-scenes tour of the venue and players’ amenities, watching the warm up from the penalty box, a shopping spree at Real Sports Apparel and the opportunity to send players off in the Maple Leafs tunnel as they take the ice.

“Getting the chance to spend a night at Air Canada Centre is an experience many fans have dreamed of,” Gilmour said in a statement. “I'm excited to host the ultimate sports weekend, and share my memories of being captain of the Toronto Maple Leafs with two lucky fans.”

After the game, the winner will be invited to Leafs’ head coach Mike Babcock’s post-game press conference before spending the night in a customized Airbnb suite overlooking the lower bowl of the Air Canada Centre.

The next day, the guests will get to watch the Raptors’ game day shoot-around, before settling into some courtside seats to watch the team take on the Clippers.

To win, contestants can visit the Airbnb listing and submit a response to the prompt: “Tell us why you’re the biggest Maple Leafs and Raptors fan and what it would mean to you to say overnight at the Air Canada Centre.”

The contest runs from Nov. 17 to Dec. 15.
