TORONTO -- Research In Motion debuts its latest BlackBerry devices this week in an attempt to recover a larger share of the smartphone market.
But analysts are mixed on whether the Waterloo,Ont.-based company will deliver a homerun.
RIM will raise the curtain on two new BlackBerrys on Wednesday.
The unveiling marks the start of an advertising blitz that will include social media, the Super Bowl and beyond, as RIM tries to regain the cool factor it was once known for.
The event will unfold at an entertainment complex near the shores of Manhattan.
But the phones won't launch for several more weeks, and it'll be even longer before its clear whether they're a sales success.
RIM stock has been on an upwards trend in recent weeks, since falling to its lowest point in about a decade last September.
CTVNews.ca will provide LIVE coverage of the launch this Wednesday.
