Eager to see the next iPhone that'll make your current one obsolete? Anxious to know what the heck Apple is doing with its rumoured new headphone design? Or are you just looking forward to new features for your Apple TV?

Tech junkies will be able to follow along online today as Apple unveils its latest and greatest gadgets during the company's live Apple Event, at 1 p.m. ET.

The event will not be broadcast on traditional TV networks, but it can be streamed live online using most Apple technologies, including the iPhone, iPad or Apple TV.

Laptop and desktop users can stream the event using Apple's Safari web browser, or using the Microsoft Edge browser on Windows 10.

Among the big announcements expected to come out of the Cupertino-based tech giant are the introduction of the company's next smartphone, the iPhone 7, and the possible unveiling of a new headphone design.

Rumours have been swirling that the new iPhone will eliminate the 3.5-mm headphone jack, which was invented by Thomas Edison and has been the industry standard for decades.

Apple CEO Tim Cook will be part of the event in San Francisco, where he'll be joined by other executives to demonstrate the company's new products.
