The photo says it all: a weasel hitched a ride on the back of a woodpecker, and one lucky soul managed to capture it on camera.
The amazing photo comes courtesy of Martin Le-May, a U.K. man who reportedly noticed the woodpecker and its bizarre hitchhiker while walking through a London park with his wife.
The woodpecker apparently slipped his hungry hitchhiker and survived the ordeal, according to Le-May's Twitter account.
"The woodpecker just managed to escape and the weasel disappeared into the long grass hungry," Le-May tweeted on Monday.
Le-May says he and his wife noticed the bird when they heard its distressed cries.
CTV News has reached out to Le-May directly for comment.
The photo has taken off on Twitter under the hashtag #WeaselPecker.
