BUCHAREST, Romania - Romania's government says it wants to hold local and parliamentary elections on the same day in 2012.
Prime Minister Emil Boc says Monday more people will vote if the ballots are held together, which could also save the country at least C20 million (US$26.8 million).
Critics say the proposed changes to the law would make it easier to commit election fraud. The opposition said it would call for a no-confidence vote in an attempt to derail the government's plan.
