The Blue Jays can only hope that Green party Leader Elizabeth May doesn't decide to make an appearance at a game this season.

With Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau in attendance at the Rogers Centre in Toronto on Friday night, the team was blown out 10-2 by the Baltimore Orioles.

The "leaders’ curse" remained intact.

The AL East-leading Jays have now gone 0-3 with federal political leaders in the stands this season.

And the bad luck continued for Toronto on Friday as the bounces seemingly did not go their way.

In the 6th inning, Blue Jays leftfielder Ben Revere tried to make a highlight-reel grab, but instead knocked the fly ball over the wall for a homerun.

The play was reminiscent of Jose Canseco's famous gaffe, when a fly ball bounced off the slugger's head and over the outfield wall for a home run.

Earlier on Friday, Trudeau also attended batting practice with the club, which has the MLB's top offence, and is spearheaded by leading AL MVP candidate Josh Donaldson.

The Liberal Leader was photographed wearing a Russell Martin Canada Day jersey while his two young sons Xavier James and Hadrien tagged along.

But on Friday, Toronto's bats fell silent and could only muster two runs. Martin grounded into two double plays and stranded four baserunners.

The 10-2 loss was also the first time since July 4 that the club lost by more than three runs.

Both Conservative Leader Stephen and NDP Leader Tom Mulcair have also tried to hit political home runs by attending Blue Jays games this season.

The club has become a hot-ticket item after major moves to acquire ace David Price and shortstop Troy Tulowitzki vaulted the team up the standings.

Harper met with Blue Jays' great Roberto Alomar and took in batting practice on Monday, before watching the team lose 4-2 to the Cleveland Indians. Harper watched the game alongside his wife, son and daughter.

His appearance and the accompanied loss prompted a backlash on social media.

Mulcair's luck may be even worse.

The NDP Leader and his sons attended a matchup with the New York Yankees on August 14 while the Jays were in the midst of an 11-game winning streak. Toronto lost 4-3.

Mulcair reached out on Twitter on Friday to reassure fans who worried that he and other leaders may bring their bad luck back to the stands.

The Blue Jays currently sport a record of 76-58.
