A new sketch was released Thursday of a possible suspect in the case of missing British girl Madeleine McCann.

Described as a "very ugly man," Madeleine's parents believe the person could have been involved in their daughter's disappearance from the family's holiday apartment in Portugal two years ago.

She went missing while her parents were having dinner in a nearby restaurant.

The artist's impression of a man with "pitted skin and a large nose" is based on the account of a British woman who stayed in the resort of Praia da Luz on the Algarve when Madeleine disappeared shortly before her fourth birthday.

In a new documentary that aired in Britain Thursday retired detectives revealed three witnesses reported seeing the man watching the apartment days before Madeleine vanished.

One of the witnesses -- a female tourist -- said in a statement "I grabbed my daughter's hand and pulled her towards me. For some reason the man unnerved me."

The second witness was a 12-year-old girl who says she saw a man twice looking towards the McCann's balcony. Her description helped the police create an image of the man.

The third witness was another tourist who remembers seeing a man outside the apartment behaving strangely.

Madeleine's parents Kate and Gerry McCann appear in the documentary, and, for the first time return to the infamous holiday apartment.

Recently a new age progression image was released of what Madeleine may look like now.

"She could be speaking a different language, she might have her hair different, she might have different interests, but you know she's still our daughter," Kate McCann said in the film.
