Two bodies were fished out of the Saint Lawrence River near Boucherville, on Montreal’s South Shore, on Sunday afternoon. The Sûreté du Québec (SQ) says it received a call from Longueuil police (SPAL) at 2 p.m. seeking help after the bodies were found near Île Grosbois, which is part of the Îles-de-Boucherville national park. “At first glance, there is no link between the two deaths,” an SQ spokesperson told Noovo Info, adding investigators are working to determine the causes and circumstances surrounding the deaths. A coroner is working to identify the two people.
