TORONTO -- UFC president Dana White says he doesn't know if former welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre will fight again.

"The longer Georges is out, the harder it is to come back," White told a Toronto stop on the UFC 189 World Championship Tour on Friday. "Georges definitely doesn't need the money. He's doing movies. He's doing other things right now so who knows?"

Welterweight contender Rory MacDonald, who trains with St-Pierre, was also unsure.

"I'm 50-50. I really don't know which way it's going to go. I think if he does come back it won't be any time soon."

MacDonald said if GSP did come back it would be for a fight that interested him.

The 33-year-old St-Pierre stepped away from the sport after beat Johny (Bigg Rigg) Hendricks at UFC 167 in November 2013, saying he needed time off.
