Canada was a popular destination among American travellers in the first half of this year, with a trio of major urban Canadian centers cracking a top 10 list of international destinations for U.S. tourists.

In the list compiled by online booking site Hotels.com, the top three most popular international destinations remain unchanged from 2014, with London, Paris and Rome leading the pack.

But rounding out the list are Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal, in fourth, fifth and sixth spots respectively, bumping other cities like Barcelona, Tokyo and Hong Kong further down the list.

The ranking of top 50 destinations also included newcomers such as Budapest and Ciudad Juarez in Mexico.
