With the eyes of the world focused on our nation's capital the day after a deadly shooting, Canadians are sharing what they love most about Ottawa.

Using the hashtag #MyOttawa, those who live in Ottawa and others from all around the country are telling the world that the city is more than just the location of a shooting.

Some write that the city will not be gripped by fear while others say that it is a great place to raise a family, a place of "amazing beauty" and a place where rainbows can be seen over Parliament Hill.

About eight hours after the shootings, Twitter user Cameron Rooney posted four photos of Ottawa.

That tweet, which was one of the first after the attack, led to thousands of other tweets. While the hashtag was first promoted last year by Ottawa Tourism last year, it has taken on new meaning after the incident.
