Airbus reports engine failure, makes emergency landing in N.L.

STEPHENVILLE, N.L. - An American Airlines Airbus made an emergency landing in Stephenville, N.L., after reporting engine failure.

Police say the call came in just before 6 p.m. Thursday.

The Airbus 330-300 was carrying three crew members and landed safely.

Police, the fire department and ambulances were on scene for the landing.

But police say the investigation has concluded.
