BUENOS AIRES, Argentina - Canadian pop star Michael Buble has married Argentine TV actress Luisana Lopilato in a civil ceremony.

The Grammy-winning singer of "Crazy Love" and his Argentine sweetheart posed for a mob of fans after tying the knot in downtown Buenos Aires Thursday. She was wearing a violet dress with silver high heels and Buble wore a sharp grey suit as they smooched for the cameras. Then Lopilato tossed a bouquet of purple orchids into the crowd.

Buble won his third career Grammy in February for traditional pop vocal album. Lopilato, who inspired his hit song "Haven't Met You Yet," made her name on Argentine TV sitcoms.

They plan a full ceremony with 300 guests next month at a mansion outside Buenos Aires.

The B.C.-born Buble met Lopilato in 2008 at a party that followed one of his concerts in Buenos Aires. He's since bought a house in the northern part of Buenos Aires province.

In an interview with The Canadian Press last July, Buble said he expected their wedding ceremony would be heavily scrutinized.

"For that wedding, absolutely, it'll be crazy," said the Vancouver crooner, whose "Crazy Love" tour resumes June 1 in Austin, Tex.

"You can't imagine. I have to hire security. Like, not just a little bit of security -- I have to hire like an army."

Local paparazzi can be especially aggressive, he noted.

"When I'm in Canada, no one follows me," he said.

"(Here) they will stand in front of the car and then they'll lay on the car so you can't go anywhere. And there's tons of them, like tons of them and they chase you on their bikes.... It's amazing. It's like a movie or something."
