Vehicle fire prompts Highway 401 closure

A stretch of Highway 401 in Elgin County is now open after previously being closed because of a vehicle fire.

According to police, the 401 was closed in both directions between Iona road and Currie Road.

At the time, drivers were being asked to find an alternate route while crews worked to put out the fire.
