London police are investigating a fire that destroyed two vehicles early Thursday morning in the city’s south end. Emergency crews were called to a housing co-operative parking lot on Viscount Road at around 4 a.m., where two sport utility vehicles were found engulfed in flames. London Fire Department officials say they received multiple 911 calls, some reporting hearing explosions prior to crews arriving on scene. Firefighters were able to quickly bring the blaze under control. The cause of the fire is believed to be mechanical or electrical in nature. No injuries were reported.
