A quick response by the London Fire Department prevented significant damage after a van caught fire in a residential driveway on Monday. Just after noon, emergency crews were called to a vehicle fire outside a home on Kingsbridge Street in the city’s southeast end. Fire officials say equipment inside the van ignited, quickly engulfing the vehicle before flames spread to the attached garage. Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze swiftly, limiting damage to the garage and preventing the fire from spreading further into the home. No injuries were reported.
