A sudden death investigation is underway following the discovery of a body inside a burnt-out vehicle in Middlesex County on Thursday. According to a news release, at 2:58 a.m. on Thursday, members of the Chippewas of the Thames First Nation Police, Middlesex County OPP and the Oneida Nation Fire Department were dispatched to Jubilee Road at Mount Elgin Road in Chippewas of the Thames First Nation for the report of a vehicle fire. Police say an individual was located deceased inside the vehicle. As a result, members of the Middlesex County Crime Unit, the Office of the Chief Coroner and the Office of the Fire Marshal started an investigation. The roads were closed as members of the Traffic Incident Management Enforcement Team attended to assist with the investigation but have since been reopened. The investigation continues.
