One person has died following a drowning on the Saugeen River in Paisley. Around 1:30 p.m. on Monday, South Bruce OPP, Bruce County Paramedic Services and the Arran-Elderslie Fire & Emergency Services responded to a report of a person in distress in the Saugeen River. According to police, the person was brought to shore by members of the public and lifesaving measures were attempted. A 25-year-old from Georgetown was pronounced deceased, and police said the victim’s identity will not be released due to privacy of the family.
