Foodies take note. Montreal’s restaurant scene has come out on top in a ranking of 'rising star' destinations.
Travel review website Gogobot says the "modern" and "hip" city was ranked number one based on tens of thousands of reviews, tips and recommendations online.
The "standouts" in the city include Au Pied de Cochon, which showcases hearty Quebecois fare, gastropub Joe Beef, and the boutique dessert shop Juliette e Chocolat.
The rising star ranking saw Jersey City take the second spot, while New Orleans captured third place.
