Love the idea of surfing through your local harbor but don't have a boat? Not to worry -- now there's an electric surfboard which will have you cruising along the river regardless of waves.

Radinn is a battery-powered board designed for both beginners and more experienced riders, featuring removable bindings so that users can ride on their stomach and knees before learning to stand up.

Capable of jumping waves or wakes, the board glides at a speed of 20-25 knots (around 37-45 km per hour), with its development team hoping to increase this in the future.

Its lightweight body is made from carbon fiber composite, with a jet propulsion system in place to increase efficiency.

The removable battery pack is kept in a waterproof hatch so that riders can charge one pack while riding with the other.

The board was unveiled at the Cannes Yachting Festival this month and will be on show again at the Monaco Yacht Show this week. It is expected to be available for pre-ordering for summer 2015 at around €15,000.
