LONDON - London-based Canadian label Erdem could score a hat trick at the upcoming British Fashion Awards.

Award-winning Montreal-born designer Erdem Moralioglu has earned his third consecutive nomination at the annual awards ceremony organized by the British Fashion Council.

He is up for womenswear designer of the year honours alongside Christopher Kane and J.W. Anderson.

The award recognizes a leading British ready-to-wear designer who has helped to enhance women's fashion in the past year.

Moralioglu won the Red Carpet Award at the ceremony last year, which recognizes a British designer who is creating global awareness of their designs in the media.

In 2013, he took home the New Establishment Award, an honour that recognized a particular movement in British fashion that is taking the industry by storm.
