Kristy Swanson, a former Playboy model and star of the 1992 film "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," was arrested Saturday night in Kingston, Ont. after allegedly assaulting the ex-wife of Canadian figure skater Lloyd Eisler, whom she is dating.

People magazine cites Swanson as saying that she met with Kingston police Saturday night after Marcia O'Brien filed a complaint against her.

"I had to go the police station where I had an appointment at 9 p.m. to begin the process of being arrested," she confirmed to the magazine.

People reports Swanson, 37, was released on $500 bail.

However, in a release sent out by Swanson and Eisler's publicist, Marcia O'Brien is accused of assaulting Swanson while Swanson accompanied Eisler on a scheduled parental visit of the two young children he has with O'Brien.

The attack resulted in "bruises on her left knee, bruises and scratches on her left arm and a scratch under her left arm, near her back as a result of the attack," the release alleges.

The two children, and Swanson and Eisler's four-month-old son, were in a minivan at the time.

"Kristy Swanson was assaulted by Lloyd Eisler's ex wife, Marcia O'Brien, while walking from the passenger seat to give her her four month old son, a pacifier," stated the release from Michael Sands, spokesperson for Kristy Swanson and Lloyd Eisler.

The release, which was dated Saturday, stated that Swanson intended to press her own charges with Kingston police.

When asked by People whether she attacked Swanson, O'Brien said: "Why have I not been charged?"

Eisler is a former world champion pairs skater.

Swanson and Eisler, 44, met in 2006 while filming the television reality series "Skating With Celebrities." Eisler eventually left his pregnant wife for Swanson, creating a scandal in the skating world.

Their son Magnus Hart Swanson Eisler was born in February.
