Two people were hurt when their plane made an emergency landing in a field near Fergus, Ont. The aircraft went down near Beatty Line, between Sideroad 10 and Sideroad 5, around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. “It [was] reported that the general aviation aircraft experienced an engine malfunction, prompting an emergency landing,” Ontario Provincial Police explained in a media release. There were two people on board at the time. Police described their injuries as minor and non-life-threatening. Both were transported to a local hospital for a medical assessment. OPP said Transport Canada was notified of the incident.
