Ontario Provincial Police say two drivers walked away without injury after a transport truck crossed the median and collided with an SUV on Highway 403 Sunday morning. Emergency crews were called to the crash just before 8 a.m.. Police said a westbound transport truck crossed the centre median into the eastbound lanes, where it struck an SUV. Despite the severity of the collision, both drivers were uninjured. Police described the outcome as “a miracle.” “The great news out of this [is that] both drivers walked away with absolutely no injuries,” said Sgt. Ed Sanchuk in a video posted to social media. The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 were closed between Highway 53 and Middle Townline Road for several hours while police continued to investigate and remove the fully loaded transport truck from the highway. The investigation remains in its early stages.
