TORONTO - Oscar-nominated actor James Franco's documentary about his time on "General Hospital" is among the films set for next month's Hot Docs festival.

"Francophrenia (Or: Don't Kill Me, I Know Where the Baby Is)," co-directed by Ian Olds, is described as "a wild behind-the-scenes" look at Franco's role on the daytime soap opera.

Hot Docs kicks off April 26 with director Alison Klayman's debut feature documentary, "Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry," a portrait of the Chinese artist and activist.

Other notable titles in the lineup include "Indie Game: The Movie," a look at video game developers from James Swirsky and Lisanne Pajot; Kevin Macdonald's Bob Marley portrait "Marley"; and Yung Chang's "China Heavyweight," about a boxing coach training poor teens in rural China.

Oscar-nominated screenwriter Terry Gilliam's struggle to make a film about Don Quixote is captured in "Lost in La Mancha," directed by Louis Pepe and Keith Fulton and co-starring Jeff Bridges.

Devoted Rick Springfield fans are the focus of Sylvia Caminer's "An Affair of the Heart."

And Chris James Thompson delivers a biography of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer in "Jeff."

This year, Hot Docs will screen 189 titles from 51 countries at the festival, which runs until May 6.
