At Christmas, surprises usually come wrapped in glittery paper and tied up with bows. But for one Nova Scotia man, a surprise arrived in the form of a message in a bottle that washed ashore after 29 years.
A British Columbia man has discovered what could be the oldest message in a bottle ever found. Steve Thurber, of Courtenay B.C., found the century-old bottle washed up on a beach along Vancouver Island’s west coast, near Tofino.
