Legislators in Florida have approved a bill repealing a law from last year that requires foreigners visiting the state to have international driving permits.
The Canadian Automobile Association’s (CAA) Southern Ontario chapter on Friday said it is offering a full refund to travellers who purchased international driving permits in order to drive in Florida.
The State of Florida has backed away from a recent law change that would have seen Canadians -- packing their beach towels and flip-flops for a sunny winter getaway -- also travelling with an international driving permit.
