The spy watchdog that Arthur Porter once chaired says it has no security concerns about the classified information to which he had access -- even though Porter is now wanted on criminal charges.
Arthur Porter, the former head of Canada's spy watchdog, says he has late, stage-four cancer and is too ill to travel from the Bahamas to Canada to face investigators over allegations of fraud in one of the country's priciest infrastructure projects.
The man once entrusted to keep an eye on Canada's spy agency is now wanted by police and extradition procedures are underway in the hope of bringing him back to face criminal charges in this country.
