WINNIPEG - No one will be disciplined following the death of a homeless man at a Winnipeg hospital in September.
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority says it has finished an internal review of how Brian Sinclair waited 34 hours in the emergency room before dying of a bladder infection.
The authority says no single person was to blame but the city's hospitals will make some changes to ensure a similar tragedy never happens again.
The health authority says anyone arriving in the emergency department will now be registered electronically before going on to the waiting room.
Hospital staff must also talk to each patient in the waiting room every four hours.
Sinclair was never registered by a nurse and was not examined until he had been dead for several hours.
