Ikea Canada is recalling its Sultan line of crib mattresses as a precaution after finding one that didn't meet safety standards for size.
The home decor giant says the items haven't been sold in Canada since 2010 but urges everyone who bought one to measure the gap between mattress and crib.
It says the gap should be no greater than three centimetres when all bedding is removed and the mattress is pushed firmly against any side of the crib.
If the gap is smaller than three centimetres, the company says there is no need to replace the mattress.
No proof of purchase is required for those who need to return or exchange the product.
Ikea says no injuries have been reported in connection with the mattresses.
