Meat-eaters take note: the Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued recall notices for several products due to "Unsuitable ingredients."

According to one CFIA notice, several meat products produced by Harvest Meats Co. are being recalled due to unsuitable ingredients. However, the agency does not specify what those ingredients are.

The affected products include several varieties of sausage distributed in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec, Saskatchewan. They were all sold with best before dates in August and September of this year.

The complete product list, including UPC codes, can be found here.

In a separate, related notice the CFIA also notes a recall of two Northern Natural Processing brand beef products "due to unsuitable primary ingredients."

The two affected products, details of which can be found here, were distributed to warehouses in Ontario and Saskatchewan.

In both recall notices, the CFIA rates the associated hazard classification as "Class III," which designates cases it considers to pose "low and no risk" to public health.
