The soon-to-be mother of Mick Jagger's eighth child is a 29-year-old American ballerina who started dating the Rolling Stones rocker in 2014.
Melanie Hamrick was born in Williamsburg, Virginia, and educated in dance at the Kirov Academy of Ballet in Washington, D.C. She joined the American Ballet Theatre's summer program at the age of 17, and has served as a corps de ballet dancer since 2004.
Many of her roles have been as a background dancer. For instance, the ABT lists her as a flower girl in "Don Quixote," a big swan in "Swan Lake," and a harlot in "Romeo and Juliet."
Hamrick's Instagram page is filled with photos of her in dance poses or appearing backstage with other dancers. There is no appearance or mention of Jagger anywhere on her Instagram account. She also does not appear on his Instagram page.
Hamrick's page also includes several photos of her with animals, including dogs and a kangaroo.
Jagger's representatives confirmed on Friday that Hamrick is pregnant with his eighth child.
Four of Jagger's children are older than Hamrick, while Georgia, 24, Gabriel, 18, and Lucas, 17, are younger.
