Among the $275 toilet paper, $300 personalized M&Ms and a lady’s sex toy, a couple of Canadian products will be mixed in to the 2016 Oscars swag bag.

Valued at more than US$200,000, the goodie bag will be handed out to some of the biggest names that will grace the red carpet at this year's award ceremony.

Stud earrings from Leduc, Alta. entrepreneur Kim Ducherer will be one of the treats Oscar nominees will receive. The $25 hand-made earrings are part of Ducherer's Farm Wife Style jewelry line.

"Everything that I make, I like to think that it's just simple, it's classic, it's not overstated," Ducherer told CTV Calgary.

A selection of maple syrup, mustard and salad dressing from Quebec-based Rouge Maple, valued at $99, will also be included in this year's swag bag.

Meanwhile, "Skinny pasta" from Calgary-based company Gabriella's Kitchen will be part of a gift bag handed out at a pre-Oscars party.

"We would love if even one celerity fell in love with the product and couldn't give it up and was constantly tweeting and posting (about it)," said company founder Margot Micallef.

While business owners must donate the items and pay a fee for their products to be included in the bags, marketing experts say the cost is well worth it.

Mohammed El Hazzouri of the Bissett School of Business said consumers tend to take note of the products celebrities are using.

"Whether we like it or not, we like (celebrities), we follow them, we pay attention to what they use," he said.

Condiments from Langley, B.C.-based Cranberries Naturally were featured in the 2012 Oscar swag bag, and company owner Jasmine Marjanovic said her business is still reaping the rewards from the exposure.

"We now are still shipping to people in L.A., so for our business it's been fabulous," she said.

Other items in the 2016 Oscars swag bag will include a 10-day trip to Israel, a year's worth of Audi car rentals, and a 15-day walking tour of Japan.
