British politician George Osborne announced Monday via Twitter that the upcoming installment of the illustrious space saga will be filmed at the U.K.'s Pinewood Studios just outside of London.
Because Monday, May 4 is a bank holiday in the U.K., Pinewood Studios could not be reached for comment, according to the Hollywood Reporter who spotted the story.
"Pleased to announce #StarWarsVIII will be filmed here in UK @PinewoodStudios - great news for @starwars fans & our UK creative industries," Osborne tweeted.
The film will be directed by Rian Johnson and shooting will start in 2016 with a release date set for 2017.
