A somber, minute-long trailer for this November's "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1" has heroine Katniss Everdeen sent back into the ruins of District 12.

What might appear to be a sign of life and hope -- a white rose found in her old abandoned home -- is recognized as an ominous message from her mortal enemy, President Snow.

Jennifer Lawrence returns as Katniss and Donald Sutherland as Coriolanus Snow, with Suzanne Collins's final book in "The Hunger Games" trilogy split into two parts for cinematic consumption.

Also among the cast for "Mockingjay - Part 1" are Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Julianne Moore, Stanley Tucci and the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Director Francis Lawrence of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" is once again installed for the two-parter.

The week of November 21 marks the theatrical debut of "Mockingjay - Part 1" not only in the USA but in almost every territory covered by the film's release, including France, Belgium, Brazil and the Philippines (November 19), Australia, South Korea, Malaysia, Singapore and much of Latin America (November 20), and the UK, Ireland, Canada, China, Spain and Mexico on the same day as the USA.

"Mockingjay - Part 2" is set for the same period in November 2015.
