Many Netflix users switch to a movie after reaching the end of a TV series, the streaming service has revealed.

Netflix states that 59 per cent of Netflix viewers take a three-day break "post-binge" -- that is, after finishing one TV show and before choosing another one. In the meantime, 61 per cent of those on a break turn to a standalone title on the site for their viewing pleasure, be it a movie, documentary or stand-up special.

The company analyzed more than 100 TV series to identify which movies were paired most frequently with which series. Among the findings, "Stranger Things" was followed up by "Zootopia," while "American Horror Story" viewers moved on to "Mean Girls."

"Girlmore Girls" viewers turned next to "Dirty Dancing" and "Sixteen Candles," "Bloodline" led the way to "Spotlight, and "Breaking Bad" fans got their fix with "Pulp Fiction."
