Zany South-Korean singer Psy will be co-hosting the semi-scripted show which airs lives on MuchMusic at 9 p.m. ET.
This year’s top nominees include Vancouver pop rock band Marianas Trench and "Started from the Bottom" Forest Hill rapper Drake, who are nominated for six and five awards respectively. Teen heart throb Justin Bieber racked up two nominations.
The annual award show will be held at MuchMusic’s downtown headquarters where fans have been lining up this past week to catch a glimpse of bands rehearsing, while crews put the finishing touches on the red carpet.
"You’re with a bunch of friends and people from MuchMusic they come around and talk to us…so it’s a lot of fun," one young fan told CTV Toronto.
Fans have also been camping out on Queen Street in hopes of winning a wrist band to the show.
