TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. -- The Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City has been given seven original screen prints by artist Andy Warhol.

The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts awarded the prints to the museum, which is on the campus of Northwestern Michigan College. The prints date from 1970 to 1986 and are on exhibit through April 5.

Warhol was a leading figure in the movement known as "pop art." His works explore the relationship between artistic expression, celebrity culture and advertisement.

He dealt with many art forms, including hand drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, silk screening, sculpture, film, and music.
