The Kids in the Hall are back.

The Canadian comedy icons have reunited for a North American tour, which kicks off Thursday in Toronto.

Dave Foley, Kevin McDonald, Bruce McCulloch, Mark McKinney and Scott Thompson formed the sketch comedy group in 1984. Their show was must-see TV in the 1980s and 1990s and was nominated for an Emmy award three times.

In 2008, “Kids in the Hall” was added to the Canadian Walk of Fame.

Now, the group is back at it with new sketches. Their Canadian tour stops also include Vancouver, Calgary, Montreal, Hamilton and London, Ont., and then they will move on to New York City, Boston and Chicago, among other U.S. cities.

After all these years, the members say they’ve achieved individual success, but “choose to be together” again to have some fun.

“I think we are more effective together. There’s a power to all of us,” Bruce McCulloch told CTV’s Canada AM. “We always say that individually, we’re OK and we’re kind of dumb, but together we’re sort of smart.”
