With the release of her self-titled, super-secret album, it's no surprise that Beyoncé had such a big week on social media after 2 million people talked about the singer on Facebook, while nearly a quarter of a million fans followed her on Instagram.

Owner of the most popular YouTube account in the world this week, Katy Perry's channel attracted 35 million views as her latest video "Unconditionally" approaches 30 million views, while "Roar" is creeping towards the 300 million mark.

Named by Forbes this week as the 'Top Grossing Actor of 2013' with a gigantic $1.3 billion, The Rock praised his "relentlessly hard working team" and snapped a cheerful-looking selfie which was liked by 770,000 adoring fans.

8. Ariana Grande

Followed by 140,000 people on Twitter after she hinted that her relationship to Nathan Sykes was over, her popularity certainly hasn't waned since the rumors first surfaced with 100,000 people following the pop-princess on Instagram.

9. Tyrese Gibson
