Justin Bieber was reportedly held by customs officials at Los Angeles International Airport following a flight from Japan on Thursday.

Reports said Bieber may have been given a routine secondary customs search because of his current legal issues.

Earlier this week, the pop star caused a stir in Japan after visiting the Yasukuni Shrine where 14 convicted war criminals are buried.

And last week, the White House responded to a petition that requested the U.S. government deport the Canadian native.

The White House said in a statement that they wouldn't be commenting on the petition.
