Joel Madden feels like “the luckiest man alive” to have met Nicole Richie.
The Good Charlotte rocker recently celebrated his second anniversary with his wife, with whom he has two children, son Sparrow, three and daughter Harlow, four, and Madden is still head over heels for the designer.
He wrote on his Tumblr account: "Special dedication to my wife. We just spent a few days off the grid celebrating our second wedding anniversary."
"Sometimes I keep it to myself and sometimes I can't help myself and I gotta tell the whole world how much I love her. This is one of those times ... I feel like the luckiest man alive to have my wife and kids. When the world outside breaks me down, they build me back up. Hope everyone out there finds this kind of love."
Madden and 31-year-old Richie married on Dec.11, 2010 but the singer admitted he proposed 10 times before she agreed to marry him.
He previously said:"My wife is pretty good at rejecting me. People don't know this but I asked her to marry me ten times before she actually said yes. I was asking every other Tuesday."
When asked: "What made that tenth one different?” Madden replied: "I pulled out the kids! I said, 'Do you really wanna do this to these kids?' I'm just kidding. I'm passive aggressive."
